Huntsville Alabama Snow & Ice Storm
Huntsville Alabama was hit with a little snow and an ice storm on Friday that pretty much brought the city and most of Northern Alabama to a stand still. Streets in entire towns and counties were proclaimed impassable. In fact I didn’t heed the warning and couldn’t get out of the Village of Providence Friday night, the roads were terrible…cars couldn’t climb very small inclines without tires spinning…cars going nowhere, except where you didn’t want them to go like sliding sideways off the side of the road.
So, I made the best of it by working a little more at the office, then going to Grille 29 for dinner and booking a room at the Spring Hill Suites in Providence…all three places within walking or skating distance!
The photo below is outside of Grille 29. It doesn’t look like much, but trust me…it was all a sheet of ice.
When I got back to the office this morning this is what was left of our snow/ice storm that shut down Huntsville Alabama!
